BUKITTINGGI — The Bukittinggi City General Election Commission (KPU) is holding a simulation of voting and counting votes, in order to face the simultaneous Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) in 2024."The simulation is carried out so that the organizing officers, namely, KPPS, PPS and PPK are ready to carry out their duties," said Plh. Chairman of the KPU Bukittinggi, Syafri.
Syafri conveyed this at a simulation event held at the Bermawi GOR Bukittinggi field, Wednesday (6/11/2024).According to him, there were 511 voters who expressed their right to vote in the simulation.
"In this simulation, the election votes are collected and counted for candidates for governor and deputy governor as well as mayor and deputy mayor," he said."The simulation was attended by KPPS, PPS and PPK officials throughout the city of Bukittinggi. "This is part of ensuring the readiness of KPPS, PPS and PPK officers in facing the simultaneous national regional head elections," he said.He said that the vote counting used a simulation form format, a recap and making a copy of the voting minutes."The output that KPPS wants to achieve and hopes for is how they understand the voting implementation mechanism and the vote counting method that will be carried out," he said.
